This Day in Skeeters History: June 5

On this day in 2019, Skeeters infielder Jason Martinson etched his name in the Skeeters record books with a six-RBI effort, matching the Skeeters’ single-game RBI record. Martinson powered a pair of three-run homers to give the Skeeters a 9-3 win over the Barnstormers in Lancaster. There have been six players in Skeeters history who’ve had a six-RBI game, with four of those games occurring in 2019. Martinson wasn’t even the first Skeeters hitter in 2019 to have a six-RBI game. That distinction went to outfielder Jared Mitchell, who also did it against Lancaster, but on May 7. Martinson’s six RBIs were plenty for starter Dallas Beeler to work with as he allowed just one run over six innings of work to pick up his third win of the season.
