(July 8, 2020, SUGAR LAND, TEXAS). – The Sugar Land Skeeters are excited to partner with Shabana Motors for the Deacon’s Dugout program.
The Deacon’s Dugout program was created to allow kids and families in underserved communities to attend a Skeeters game for free. In partnership with Shabana Motors, the Skeeters will provide 15 tickets, available for all Friday-Sunday games during the 2020 season starting on July 10. The tickets will include a shirt and a food voucher, good for a hot dog, chips, and a drink.
Deacon’s Dugout was named after Grover “Deacon” Jones, Special Assistant to the President of the Skeeters. His passion and commitment to give back to underserved communities helped to develop this program. Deacon believes every child and their family should enjoy a baseball game at least one time in their lives.
The Sugar Land Skeeters and Shabana Motors will work with local non-profits, churches, and community leaders to help connect us with families interested in attending a game.
