The San Diego native spent the 2017 season within the Minor League systems of the Houston Astros and Arizona Diamondbacks, spending the bulk of his time (68 games) with Double-A Jackson (ARI). In 102 combined games last season, Walsh hit .256 with 24 doubles, 12 home runs and 38 RBIs. Walsh was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 13th round of the 2010 MLB Draft out of Stanford.
