LAST TIME OUT: The Skeeters picked up a 5-1 victory in the series opener of their three game set at Somerset on Tuesday night. Konner Wade collected the win for the Skeeters while Vince Molesky took the loss for the Patriots.

FLASH: Alvaro Rodnon stole his 30th base of the season in Tuesday's win and becomes just the fourth player in Skeeters history to reach the 30 stolen bases in a season, joining Josh Prince (55, 2017), Anthony Giansanti (31, 2017) and Adam Godwin (50, 2013). Rondon's 30 stolen bases place him in third in the Atlantic League this season. The Skeeters as a team are third in the league with 113 stolen bases. Rondon has reached 30 stolen bases for the second time in his five-year professional career. He set the Texas AirHogs' single-season record in 2017 with a career-high 60 stolen bases.

TRUE ROAD WARRIORS: The Skeeters lead the Atlantic League with a 24-21 record on the road this season and have won six of their last seven road games. The Skeeters also lead the Atlantic League with a 44-13 record at home this season. The Skeeters' best road record in franchsie history came in 2013 when the team went 45-24. Albert Cordero has hit .302 (49-for-162) with four homers and 20 RBIs in 42 road games this season and Juan Silverio has hit .327 (49-for-162) with threee home runs and eight RBIs in 14 road games this season.

LOOP DEBUT: Left-hander Derrick Loop made his 2018 debut with the Skeeters in Tuesday's win, throwing a scoreless inning of relief while striking out two. The Skeeters signed Loop prior to Tuesday's game and he's appeared with the Skeeters in 2015 and '16, setting the team's single-season saves record with 32 in 2016. He had gone a combined 4-3 with a 1.66 ERA in 47 career appearances with the Skeeters prior to Tuesday's game. MIGHTY MACHI: Right-hander Jean Machi threw a scoreless inning of relief in Tuesday's win and has throw 13 2/3 scoreless innings since being signed by the Skeeters on July 15. The former Major Leaguer has struck out 14 batters to seven walks and seven hits over that span. Felipe Paulino owns the longest scoreless streak from a Skeeters reliever this season at 20 innings (6/15-8/8).

RUSSELL THE MUSCLE: Skeeters left-hander James Russell is set to get the start on Wednesday and has gone 5-3 with a 2.62 ERA over 13 starts since joining the starting rotation on June 6. He's won each of his last four decisions, dating back to July 15. Out of pitchers in the Atlantic League with at least 75 innings pitched, Russell's 2.48 ERA ranks second-lowest.

IT'S KONNER: Konner Wade picked up the win after allowing just one run over six innings in Tuesday's win, and his 3.53 ERA is the sixth-lowest ERA in the Atlantic League. Over his last three starts, Wade has gone 1-1 with a 1.42 ERA while striking out 11 and walking four. Wade is also sixth in the league with 109 2/3 innings pitched.

HOT CHAVY: Matt Chavez is in the midst of a 10-game hitting streak, going 13-for-39 (.333) throughout the streak. Chavez also has a hit in 28 of 34 games since the All-Star Break, including 12 multi-hit games, and has gone 46-for-136 (.338) with six home runs and 22 RBIs over that span. Chavez ranks fourth in the Atlantic League in hitting (.332), second in hits (131), tied for seventh in on-base percentage (.387) and is sixth with 62 RBIs.

HE'S NUMBER JUAN!: Through his first 28 games with the Skeeters, Juan Silverio has hit .327/.368/.518 with five home runs and 20 RBIs. Silverio has driven in a run in seven of his last 10 games, while also going on a 10-game hitting streak, and has gone 17-for-41 (.415) with 12 RBIs over that span.

ATLANTIC LEAGUE LEADERS: The Skeeters enter Wednesday with a 68-34 record, leading Lancaster by nine games for the best record in the Atlantic League this season. Having already won the first-half Freedom Division title, the Skeeters' 27-12 record in the second half is also tops in the Atlantic League. The Skeeters as a team lead the league in the following hitting categories: Batting Average (.280), Runs (533), Hits (958), Doubles (179), Home Runs (97), Total Bases (1,448), On-Base Percentage (.357) and Slugging Percentage (.423). The Skeeters also lead the league in the following pitching categories: ERA (3.03), Shutouts (12) and Opponents Batting Average (.239).

AMAZING AUGUST: The Skeeters lead the Atlantic League with a 13-5 record in August. The Skeeters also lead the league with a 2.71 staff ERA in August and are second with a .306 team batting average this month. The Skeeters led the Atlantic League with a 17-8 July record as well and were tied for the league lead with an 18-10 record in June.

2018 VS. SOMERSET: The Skeeters are 9-8 against the Patriots this season, going 6-4 at Constellation Field and 3-4 at TD Bank Ballpark. After winning just three of their first nine games against Somerset, the Skeeters have won six of their last eight against Somerset . The Skeeters have hit .273/.329/.385 against the Patriots this season while the pitching staff owns a 3.06 ERA. Juan Silverio has hit .406 (13-for-32) with three doubles and eight RBIs in eight games, Denis Phipps has hit .357 (15-for-42) in 13 games and Albert Cordero has hit .357 (25-for-70) in 17 games.

FIRST-HALF CHAMPS: With the Skeeters' victory over Lancaster on July 1, they clinched the first-half Freedom Division title -- their first division title under manager Pete Incaviglia. The only other time the Skeeters have won a first-half title came in 2013 when they won the Freedom Division with a record of 47-23. The Skeeters' last division title came in the second half of 2016 when they went on to win the Atlantic League Championship. The Skeeters have now won four Freedom Division titles in franchise history (2013 X2; 2016 (second half), 2018 (first half). They also appeared in the postseason in 2014 via a Wild Card berth.
